Preparing a JETOUR export order for shipping
Vehicle transport should be planned around the actual cars, route and carrier requirements. Shipping arrangements are confirmed for each order rather than assumed from a catalogue listing.
Match the transport plan to the order
Provide the number of vehicles, destination, vehicle dimensions and powertrain details to the transport coordinator. Discuss suitable shipping options and the agreed handover point. Route availability and carrier conditions need to be checked when the shipment is planned.
Check preparation and documentation
Ask which vehicle checks, condition records and documents are included before handover. For electrified vehicles, obtain the carrier’s current requirements for the specific vehicle and route. Do not assume that one shipment’s preparation rules apply unchanged to another.
Track the agreed milestones
Clarify when the vehicles are expected to be ready, when documents are due and how shipment updates will be shared. Keep estimated sailing and arrival information separate from guaranteed commitments. Agree how changes, additional charges and delays are communicated.
